Sorry I missed Cypress Gardens post yesterday. It was my day to run to the bank and since son #1 just started a job, he of course needed some mulah to get him through to payday. So BOM(bank of Mom) had to bail him out. Of course we had to drive over to him ( an hour each way) and I was just plum tuckered out when I got home. The weekend is almost here so I PROMISE some belles tonight. I did post one for Gary, just as a teaser. By the way, the Belle in this photo and most of the others I will post is my friend Audrey. Belle's coming soon......

I've always loved the southern belles at Cypress Gardens. They are just so pretty. Audrey looks gorgeous all dressed up in her southern belle dress.
I have to share ... the picture of Mike and me on my blog, the prom picture one. I'm wearing an original southern belle dress. The lady that made the dresses for Cypress Gardens also had a store called "Cinderella's Dream". I rented my prom dress from her. I *loved* wearing that dress. Hoop and all.
I can SO relate to the BOM (Bank of Mom).
My kids are ages 18 and 20, so they always have their hands out for mulah.

mmmm Audrey makes one hell of good looking Belle, yowzer (lol)---and I have to flash on the old joke, letter home from kid at school--have no mon, so school not fun.---your son. To which the father replied, To bad, so sad---Your Dad. The very least you could do is make them come to you when needing money, not you not only giving it to them but delivering it too!!?? (kids will eat ya alive if ya let em)
The Southern Belles are my favorites! When I was a little girl growing up in Indiana and my grandmother would go to Florida to visit my Aunt Harriet and Uncle Jay, they would always go to Cypress Gardens. And I would always ask Grandma to send me a postcard of those girls in the big dresses with the hoop skits. She always did...wish I still had those post cards and Grandma too!!!
