Okay so I wasn't ever going to post anything political because I just don't like to get into it. But I am sick and tired of hearing about history being made with this Presidental election. I'm sorry, but history is made every time a new President is sworn in. This one is no different. And for those of you going for the "Black Man" angle......let me point out that Obama's mother is WHITE! So how does that make him a black man? Let's get off this racial rollercoaster and hoopla about the black man and let him prove himself for all his worth. I believe he will be a good President, but not because he's black. He's not. Give him credit for something other than his color. And if he messes up....let's not blame his color for that either...because he's not black. I'm sorry if I pi$$ed some people off today. As far as I know it's still a free country and I have the right to my opinion. So here you have it. Enjoy the inauguration. I haven't watched it for any other Presidents and I won't be watching this one.

you're right - it's not about whether obama is black or white... he's BOTH. and i think one reason we can all celebrate is that this is a man who is SMART. he showed up for work on his first day after the election with a briefcase stuffed full of paper, looking like he was ready to work. AND he looks waaaay dishier in a bathing suit than any other guy we've had in years. happy inauguration day!!!!!!

an election was held, a man was elected by majority vote, and now we will see if he does a good job of it or not----my main concern is the way the liberal congress is shoveling money out the door, (trillion plus deficit this year, and trillion dollar deficiets in the next couple years forcasted), our country may very easily become the first north american "Bananna Repulic"----who wants to buy the bonds of a country that spends more than it takes in year, after year, after year (can you imagine paying 100.00 dollars for a loaf of bread!!?)

I think given a chance he will be a good president but only time will tell. Here in Canada he is very well liked but personally I don't trust any politician! lol I actually watched the Inauguration today, something I've never done before...I guess I was curious to see "history being made"!! Don't smack me now! lol xox

Amen. Could we please please please leave the race card someplace else - in someone else's deck? I am so tired of hearing that someone needs something or other or does something or other BECAUSE they are BLACK, WHITE, GREEN, YELLOW, ORANGE Whatever.
Let us hope that he IS the best man for the job and that our country will RECOVER and be made STRONGER because of what we AS A COUNTRY have gone through.
