Energy

Physical energy is a funny thing, I think. For months I had NONE! Not an ounce. I was a slug. I didn't want to do anything....therefore I didn't do anything. For some reason I recently got hit by a bolt of energy. Don't know where it came from but I'm glad it found me. I have actually cleaned around the house, weeded my garden, and started walking again! And in my mind I have accepted that I need to keep the momentum going. So even when I don't feel like walking or doing things around the house, I MAKE myself get up and do something...anything to keep moving. And I've been thinking. Yeah, I know, dangerous. But I was thinking about how, after doing things, like the cleaning, but especially after walking, I should be extremely tired. And I'm not. I'm full of energy and can't wind down. Which can be a great thing, unless you need to be in bed getting some sleep. I am at work at 6:30 am every morning Mon-Fri. So I walk in the evenings after supper. It takes me right at an hour to walk 3 miles. Last night I walked 4. So I am very wound up when I get home. I sit at the computer for about 30 minutes and then I try to head off to bed. Reading has always been a great way for me to make myself tired enough to sleep. Well lately I've been reading for at least an hour before I even think about being tired. I guess this BIG, llloooonnng story was just to say how amazing energy is. You should be tired and you are raring to go.

Walking on Sunshine

Actually it's walking "in" Sunshine and HEAT! Oh my gosh it's been sooooo HOT here. I can't believe it was just a month ago we were complaining about how cold it was. Any ways...I've been walking ago. Hopefully I can keep the momentum going. Hut walked with me one day last week. He walked 1/2 mile (proud of you baby!) and I walked 2. Sunday morning the dogs got me up at 7:15 to go out. It was a beautiful morning, so I thought, hmmmm let me get dressed and go walking. So off I went. I walked 3 miles that day. I have finally figured out my MP3 player so I have some really awesome tunes on there that are good for walking. Last night, even though it was miserable hot and humid....I told Hut and the kids that I was going walking again. Hut wasn't feeling so good...I think the heat was getting to him. But Liz and Scott went with me. Scott brought his bike so he rode and Liz and I walked. We originally planned to do 2 miles as it was getting late, but it was still light enough that we managed a 3 mile walk. Liz has to work overnight tonight so if I go walking it will either be by myself or with Scott. Not sure if Hut will be up to it. I still think he's have heart issues but he won't talk about it, so what am I to do? I want to thank Granny Annie for being my inspiration. She has been doing awesome with her bike. But I know how I am.....I'll do really good for a week or two, then fall off the wagon and get run over by the wagon. Then it's a long time before I get motivated again. So keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer that I will keep on keepin' on!.

And I stole this award from my friend PEA"s blog....but I thought it's been awhile since anyone passed on anything like this. And I so LOVE all you guys out there. So please take this award from my heart to yours. And Donna @Adventures with Tassie? I hope you don't mind that I swiped this. Thanks.

Nana's Girls

Last Saturday night Grampy and Nana babysat Layla Sue and Rossi Jean while Mommy and Daddy went to a concert. Grampy decided we would go to DownTown Disney. We stopped at Mickey D's on the way to eat. While we were waiting for Grampy to get our food, Layla and Nana kept Rossi entertained. Or Rossi actually kept us entertained by being a giggle monster.

Layla making her sister giggle.Rossi just a giggling up a storm. She is such a good baby. And Layla is such a good BIG sister.Layla wants to see the pictures Nana just took of Rossi.Layla's picture pose. I found out it's a "Sleeping Beauty" pose. Sleeping Beauty is Layla's favorite Princess.

I didn't get any photos of us at DownTown Disney. Grampy took some pictures on my new phone, but I have figured out yet how to download them. We had such a good time with the girls. We can't wait to babysit again.

Lane Bryant, ABC and FOX

This Lane Bryant model was in a commercial that was to air after Dancing with the Star and American Idol. ABC and FOX were rumored to say there was too much cleavage showing. Can you believe that? Victoria Secret models you can enjoy during your lunch hour and they are almost totally naked. But a little cleavage means no commercial??? Come on now..us curvier women actually HAVE cleavage, therefore you are going to see some. If you google Lane Bryant Commercial or go to YouTube you can actually find a copy of the commercial. Since I'm doing this blog from work...I don't have access to any of that. And I can only access a few of the sights in reference to this incident. I guess I should have waited until I got home, when I could research this some more, but I just wanted to get the word out that FOX and ABC. I guess I just wanted to vent about tha fact that us curvaceous "mamas" are never treated fairly.

Happier News!

Scott and Liz at the lighting of the lights in Lakeland, December, 2009.

Yesterday I blogged about how worried I am about my husband's health. That is still a BIG concern for me. But yesterday via FaceBook I found out that my son Scott and his girlfriend Liz had decided that they were getting married and set a date. I love Liz. Both of my boys have done very well finding wonderful women to settle down with. And that dear ol' mom can get along with, lol. The tentative date right now is March 26, 2011. At least they gave me more notice than Wade and Diana. The plus is that Liz's family also loves Scott. They know his whole situation with the law and still they love him. As a matter of fact, he is going to be in Liz's Mom's wedding this weekend. We are very happy to welcome Liz into our family.
Here's Liz and Scott trying to be Santa & Mrs. C. Aren't they just cute?
Here they are just before St. Patty's day! They were going to the Strawberry Festival.

Worried

Not something I really want to blog about, but all my blogging buddies are my comfort zone. I am really worried about my husband. 5 years ago this month he had a heart attack. Should have been an eye opener but.......no. He just says he had a weak moment. He didn't have any surgery, wouldn't let them do a cath, quit taking his meds (which ended up in the garbage out of date). Now he is having the same symptoms again. I don't know what to do. He won't go see a doctor. He tells me he is fine. I don't believe him. I'm scared to death. 49 is too young to be a widow. And I don't want to be one at any age. If he is getting ready to have another heart attack, I'm not so sure he'll survive this time. Liz, my son Scott's girlfriend, is a cardiac nurse. She recently moved into the house with us. She is very concerned too and has been questioning the doctors at work about what she can do to help. We had a long talk about Hut last night while he was at the Sheriff's meeting. I got to crying. I love my husband so much and I don't understand how he can be such a selfish mule. He has beautiful grandbabies to watch grow up, two stepsons and their women who love him dearly. And me, but I'm just the wife. I'm just so frustrated and aggravated and oh, so many other feelings that I just don't know how I feel. Thank you for letting me vent and hopefully Hut will come to his senses soon. I love you guys, thanks for being there.

Joe's Crab Shack

Saturday, since all the kids were gone, Hut and I went riding towards Osceola County, checking out yard sales and just enjoying some time together. All that riding around made us hungry. Joe's Crab Shack was calling my name ( and Hut's too evidently).
This is what I got...been dying to try it.....Joe's Classic Steam Pot. It has Alaskan Snow Crab legs, Dungeness Crab legs, shrimp, potoes, an ear of corn and a smoked sausage. Yeah I don't get the whole sausage thing either. Hut got the fried fisherman's platter which had fried cod, shrimp and scallops, hushpuppies and french fries.
Here I am waiting to dive in. I'm trying to supress a yawn, which is why I have that look on my face.Getting to the good stuff. This had to be the best seafood I have ever eaten. I can't wait to go back.I thought this was funny. They had suitcases covered in crabs hanging all over the ceiling. Some were small, others large. Of course this one was a "large case of crabs".
Since we were so close to the grandbabies we decided to pay a visit. Here's sweet Layla. This seems to be her pose lately.
And here's my chubby baby Rossi. She looks just like here daddy. He was a chubbo just like she is. And if you put baby pictures side by side, they could be twins. She is so precious.
