Walking on Sunshine

Actually it's walking "in" Sunshine and HEAT! Oh my gosh it's been sooooo HOT here. I can't believe it was just a month ago we were complaining about how cold it was. Any ways...I've been walking ago. Hopefully I can keep the momentum going. Hut walked with me one day last week. He walked 1/2 mile (proud of you baby!) and I walked 2. Sunday morning the dogs got me up at 7:15 to go out. It was a beautiful morning, so I thought, hmmmm let me get dressed and go walking. So off I went. I walked 3 miles that day. I have finally figured out my MP3 player so I have some really awesome tunes on there that are good for walking. Last night, even though it was miserable hot and humid....I told Hut and the kids that I was going walking again. Hut wasn't feeling so good...I think the heat was getting to him. But Liz and Scott went with me. Scott brought his bike so he rode and Liz and I walked. We originally planned to do 2 miles as it was getting late, but it was still light enough that we managed a 3 mile walk. Liz has to work overnight tonight so if I go walking it will either be by myself or with Scott. Not sure if Hut will be up to it. I still think he's have heart issues but he won't talk about it, so what am I to do? I want to thank Granny Annie for being my inspiration. She has been doing awesome with her bike. But I know how I am.....I'll do really good for a week or two, then fall off the wagon and get run over by the wagon. Then it's a long time before I get motivated again. So keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer that I will keep on keepin' on!.

And I stole this award from my friend PEA"s blog....but I thought it's been awhile since anyone passed on anything like this. And I so LOVE all you guys out there. So please take this award from my heart to yours. And Donna @Adventures with Tassie? I hope you don't mind that I swiped this. Thanks.

Bonnie good for you! I am glad I could inspire you but I must tell you that I am starting to backslide a bit. Perhaps this post of yours will kick my butt back into action. This is my 12th week of riding my exercise bike and that has not changed. I am up to 50 minutes a day. But I'm back on computer too much and I've slacked off on putting on make up every day. While those aren't big things, the are the beginning of the crumble. Never fear, I'm getting a grip again. Thanks Bonnie and you keep up the good work too.

Hello there
Another visitor via Grannie Annie
As well as helping you to lose weight and keep fit walking is a fabulous way of clearing the head and getting your thoughts in order
I 'try' to do some each day but like so many others am really good at not doing it
Just keep on keeping on - walking each day
Take care
Cathy

Hi! I'm here from Grannie Annie's.

My fingers are crossed that you will keep on walking! I need to get myself motivated and start walking too. Maybe between you and Grannie Annie I'll start walking and lifting some weights!

Maybe I'll blog soon about motivation...there was a really good letter to the editor in our local paper recently, and it was written by one of the local doctors about obesity, diabetes, etc. It was really motivating and I cut it out and saved it. It was wise words for all of us I think!

Keep on walking on Sunshine!!
