"FREE" $50 Gift Card Reminder and Update

As you all know we have been trying to raise funds for my nephew's Trike A Thon. We have added an extra 6 days to the fundraising. The last day to make a donation or purchase one of Missy's great paper piecings for Griffin is March 31. We will draw the name for the winner of the $50 gift card on April 1. Thanks again for all your support. You guys are the greatest!
Well not really free. My nephew, Griffin, is doing a Trike A Thon at school to raise funds for the St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. Here is a little blurb I stole from my sis in law's blog:

I am delighted to share with you that Griffin will be participating in a Trike-A-Thon at his preschool on March 26th.The goal of the Trike-A-Thon is to teach young children bike safety and the idea of helping others at an early age. This wonderful event is an effort to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

This is Griffin at last year's event.

He raised over $500 last year for St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Uncle Jerome and I are donating a $50.00 gift card to help with Griffin's fundraising.

Anyone who makes a monetary donation, it doesn't matter how big or small will have their name entered into the drawing for the gift card. Another way to have your name entered in the drawing is to make a purchase from the "Griffin's Fundraiser" category in
Missy's Ebay Store. You can visit the Griffin's Fundraiser category by clicking HERE. One entry per person.

If you would like to make a monetary donation just click on the Pay Pal donate button on the right side of my blog. Any and all donations are very much appreciated.

100% of the donations received will be donated via Griffin's preschool to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

All donations should be submitted by March31. We will hold the drawing on April 1 at 7:00 pm EST. That will give me time to get home, lol. The Gift Card will be for the amount of $50.00 ... your choice of card. And if you would want it split up into two $25.00
cards, that would be okay too. Once the (one) winner is picked, you can let me know where you would like your gift card from. Please check back here or look for updates on FaceBook for donation information.

Thank you all in advance for supporting a great cause!

Strawberry Festival

My computer and blogger are finally starting to like me I think. I was actually able to upload photos AND see them. I only have a few pictures from the Strawberry Festival, which takes place in Plant City, Florida every spring. And they have some of the best Strawberry shortcake and I didn't even take any pictures. St. Clements Catholic Church wins hands down every year because at their booth you can build your own strawberry shortcake. They give you a biscuit or cake and you just load it up with how ever many strawberries and how much whipped cream (homemade) that you want. Oh well...on the the photos.

The Strawberry Festival ended on March 14, the day we went. Since it was just before St. Patty's day, Scott and Liz thought they'd be a little irish for the day.

This is Layla's plumber's butt. Since there is always a picture of my butt from everywhere we go, I thought this would suffice and I wouldn't get my butt in a picture. It worked.

This is my cousin Yvette holding Rossi. Yvette and her husband Dick met us at the Strawberry Festival. I keep teasing her that she only came so she could hold Rossi.Diana and I took turns taking Layla for some rides. Here's Layla riding the 4 wheelers. Here's Layla driving the pink dump truck. Truck driving runs in my family to who knows???? Maybe she will drive a truck some day. Here's Rossi telling Nana that she is having a great time at the Festival! She looks just like her daddy here.Liz had bought Hut tickets to see Lynyrd Skynyrd for his birthday. They played at the Strawberry Festival. Hut is a die hard Skynyrd fan and we really enjoyed the show. Liz got pretty good seats for us.A shot of the band playing a 17 minute rendition of Free Bird.

All in all it was a great time. Loved spending it with my family. Can't wait to do it again.

I am alive

Hey all. I just wanted to stop by and let you know that I am alive and well. My computer at home is having issues. I may have to break down and carry to a repair shop. It's been too busy at work to try to do a blog, but I have a few free minutes now before lunch, so I am taking advantage of it. I hope you are all doing well. I try to read your blogs when I get a chance. Happy Blogiversary ( 4 years ) to my friend Pea. Happy Blosiversary ( 5 years ) to my friend Grannie Annie. See I do read sometimes. Keep checking back....I have some pictures from the Strawberry Festival that I would like to share whenever I finally get a chance. Have a great day and hopefully I'll see you all soon.

Success....somewhat

I was able to get my Sea World photos to upload so that you can see them. However, here where you type, they are all still words that are running together so I can't explain what each one is. I hope you enjoy the photos anyways and if you want to know what one is about, let me know and I'll try to explain it. I hope this issue with blogger gets fixed soon.

Okay, after posting this and thinking about it...I have found a way to explain the photos. The top photo is number one and we go all the way to 13. However, 13 is actually the first photo we took and number one is the last. Anyways, hopefully you can understand.

1.& 2. Liz and Rossi. Isn't Liz a natural?
3. Layla making a face with chocolate on it. Grampy couldn't finish his cake and gave it to Layla.
4. Nana, Rossi and Daddy.
5. Nana and Rossi.
6. Layla playing the drums.
7. Daddy, Mommy and Layla on the spinning ride.
8. Layla wrapped up and looking like an EWOK after we got splashed at the Shamu Show.
9. Every time we go somewhere, someon always has to take a shot of my butt. Usually I'm walking with Layla, but this time I'm walking with Diana.
10. The 4 of us who sat in the Splash Zone at the Shamu Show. All Layla wanted to do was see Shamu and get wet. Well we accomplished both at the same time.
11. Wade walking around with Rossi.
12. Layla whispering that she wants some candy. We got her cotton candy...ewwww...she wouldn't eat it...she didn't like the texture, lol.
13. Rossi on her first trip to Sea World.

Issues with Blogger

I want to apologize for not doing a Sea World blog. I have tried for 2 days to upload photos. I even sent photos to work so I could upload them there. All I get when I upload the photos to my blog is a bunch of words. I will keep trying and hopefully I can figure out what is going. I did have a wonderful time at Sea World with my wonderful family and I really want to share pictures. Those of you who have FaceBook, I do have photos uploaded. I have some video that I would like to upload also, but Blogger has always given me an issue with video and now FaceBook is giving me a fit. Or maybe it's my computer. Who knows. Anyways, please keep checking back because I am hoping to rememdy my photo issues soon.
