Nature Walk Part I

The Lake Howard Nature Walk is a great place to walk. I have recently started a diet and walking is my favorite form of exercise. Most days I walk 6 miles, but when I'm not up to it, I make sure I do at least 3. The nature walk has a path that is split up into 1/4 mile (green stripe), 1/2 mile (blue stripe) and 1 mile (yellow stripe). The color markings make it easy to keep track of how much you walk. There are alot of different trees out there. Plus lots of animals. There is a 4 foot gator out there that I have seen a couple of times, but haven't been able to get a picture of yet. But I will and then I will share it. In the meantime I have some pics of some of the other animals that share the area.

This cute little guy is one of many you'll see while you're out walking.
Here are a couple of wood coots, swimming along next to the boardwalk.

And what kind of animal is this?!!! Wait, that's my husband, Hut, looking for the elusive gator. Hope you enjoyed these. More pics tomorrow.

The Lake Howard nature walk is fantastic!!

I love all of the animals you see there. The alligator ... well, he just needs to stay in the water.

Glad to hear you and Jerome are walking together!
