Hodge Podge

The kitties are getting big and into everything. The dogs are now used to the kitties and Max actually likes them because they will play with him. Today Miss Piggy has been gone one month. I cried. I really miss her. I have lost other dogs, as a matter of fact, Cosmo went to doggy heaven 6 months before Piggy. We had Cosmo for 14 years. We had another dog for 10 years that passed on in 2003. I cried when they died. But nothing like Miss Piggy. We only had her for 4 years. Her passing is really hard on me. How crazy is that? But Max has stepped up to the plate and he's my new shadow. He's always been a loverbug, but now he knows he's top dog. This weekend, we are going to Celebration. It's a "magical" town that Disney built. It reminds you of Mayberry RFD. It's kinda creepy at night, though. It's like the town closes up at 9pm. It's built like a town of the 50's, with apartments upstairs from the grocery store, a corner drugstore, movie house, diners. The houses start at a million and go up from there. They are gorgeous multi-storied homes. Catch is....you own the house, you rent the land. I always called it a trailer park for rich folks. But I love going there especially this time of year. They always have something going on. This weekend they are having a yard/porch/sidewalk sale. They used to do this in July, but I think someone finally figured out it was too HOT! So now I've noticed they do it in March and October. Next weekend, they have fall leaves. On Friday night and Saturday night, multi-colored leaves will fall from the trees. They will fall at 6,7,8 & 9pm. They are only paper leaves but it's fun to watch them fall. They also have a horse and buggy ride that will take you around town past the beautiful houses. I know they are also having pumpkin painting and a few other fall things going on. Then starting November 29, the snow falls. They have these really neat machines that make it snow. It will snow nightly until New Year's Eve. It also snows at 6,7,8 &9pm. During this time you can also visit with Santa, check out local crafts, visit the many shops or take another horse and buggy ride and see all the wonderful Christmas decorations. I'm really looking forward to that. Also this weekend is Buckler's Craft Fair. I'm hoping I can talk hubby into going there too. I love this time of year because so much is going on, there are a million things to do. As most of you know, Ghost Hunters is one of my favorite shows. Well they are coming back to Florida to investigate the St. Augustine lighthouse again. I found out too late and the event was sold out. They are also investigating a bed & breakfast in Ocala, FL. They have already been there as it was on last night, but they are investigating it again. We are thinking about maybe being ghost hunters for a night, there. It's close to relative's houses so we have some place cheap to crash. Plus there is a Monster's convention at the Wyndom Hotel in Orlando on the 17, 18 & 19. Steve and Tango (who are my absolute favs) from Ghost Hunters are going to be there. Hut said we could go to that. Today is one of those days that I have a million and one things just going through my brain. Thought I'd share some of those thoughts with you.

Oh and I almost forgot.....My sister in law, Missy, is having a giveaway. If you are owl lovers (even if your not), check out her blog, Just click here: MISSY . And don't forget to mention that I sent you (snicker).

a most eclectic post, and as such a pleasant enough read. I DID have to turn the volume off, not being on DSL, the music downloading in 2 sec sound bites, pause, then two more secs, pause, was irritating as hell, but thats MY problem I am sure your readers who have DSL will love your selection. (with out DSL it only sounds like a car alarm going off at night)

Hey Girl
Miss Piggy really touched your heart in a special way and that's awesome because so many people never experience that kind of puppy love so you are totally blessed to have spent the years with her and now she is watching over you and wanting Momma to be happy:))
