Bad Blogger

I have been a bad blogger of late. I don't think I have an excuse but I'm gonna throw a few your way. First I'm going to blame my new medications. I went to the Doctor's last Tuesday and he change one of my diabetic medications and put me on a blood pressure medication. I have been going to bed at 6:30 every night and sleeping until my alarm goes off at 5:15 every morning. I know that can't be good, so I am going to give the doctor's office a call later today. I figured a week is an appropriate amount of time to tell if something is working right or not. My new diabetic medication doesn't seem to be working as well as the old one. So that is something I am going to discuss with him too. I hate to be a whiner so thank you all for baring with me.
The other excuse I'm going to use is the wedding excuse. You all know my son Wade is getting married on Monday. So we went and did some shopping the other night. Plus I've been doing alot of online things to get some of the wedding things taken care of. So that's been keeping me somewhat busy, but mostly at work, where it's so slow I need something to do. So I guess that's not really an excuse, lol.
I do have a couple of photos to share that I have taken this past week. We are finally getting some much needed rain here and the sky has been doing some wierd things.
This was the sun the other evening about 7:30......yes that's the sun.....through a haze after some rain. The camera didn't really do it justice.....it's was really cool.
Same shot....wider angle.
This was a shot of the sun setting on Saturday night over THE LOOP ( a shopping center in Orlando). The sky was totally purple except for the pink and gold rays of light shining up in the middle. I really wish I had a better camera. It was such a beautiful sight.
Most of you know that the building I work out of has amazing wildlife around it. I've shared tons of pictures in the past of some of the wildlife. This little dove is sitting on a nest in a tree as you come out one of the side doors. It is right next to a parking area. I almost didn't see her, she is very well hidden. But I did see her and for once the camera zoomed in and gave me a great shot. She didn't seem to mind me taking her picture.
And of course we have the yucky wildlife. This is a baby snake in a water bottle. Believe it or not this snake was in the Security vehicle we drive. And it was in the vehicle while I was driving it. The person who took over for me found it. I would have had a heart attack had I seen him in the vehicle with me. He is a non venomous snake of the garden variety. We did let him go.

Hut and I went yard saleing the other day and as we drove by a house I saw this amazing 'Tow Mater. I made Hut stop and back up so I could take pictures. Hut didn't even see it and 'Tow Mater is one of his favorites. Believe it or not, this is a golf cart.
Here's a clearer, upclose shot of the golf cart. I wish I had had nerve to go up and take better pictures. It's amazing some of the things you see as you're out driving around.

Bonnie ... yes, I think it's a good idea that you call your doctor. The medication seems to be making you too tired. I hope they can help you with that.

I love all of the pictures you shared. Especially the sun ones. And of course the dove one is absolutely beautiful!!

I would have had a heart attack if I had found in the car with me. I'm glad someone else found it and not you.

That Tow Mater is so dang cute!! Some people are so creative with their vehicles ... ummmm ... golf carts.

I can't wait to see the pictures from Wade and Diana's wedding. I wish we could be there to join in on the fun. Make sure to take lots and lots of photos to share.

Feel better ... love you!

Sorry you've be struggling with meds. Hope things are better already.

I was confused about Wade's wedding and thought it was this weekend. Guess it's Memorial Day. Will look forward to pictures,

Varmits of any kind in vehicles freak me out!

yikes, if I got up at 5:15 in the morning, I would be in bed pretty damn early myself. On the other hand sleeping from 6pm to 5:15, is a bit over the top---your doctor should be able to prescripe a different med, to address your medical need, and leave ya with more energy. good luck with that---the pics are fantastic! (lol)
