It's a CRAPPY MONDAY!

And I'm being nice, putting it that way. Do you all remember this picture I posted a few days ago? The one with the young family standing on the porch of the house they were going to close on in a few weeks? Yeah this picture......

Well it's not going to happen. This picture is now just a sour memory. The kids have been doing everything they were told to do....coming up with money for things they didn't know they would need....escrow.....a house inspection. They were preapproved for a loan worth a whole lot more than the bid they put on the house. The loan was guaranteed. The kids just need to get the house inspected. Per the bank. They did. The loan company said there was a few things the bank needed to repair on the house before they would give the kids the money. The bank said no way.....it's a repo and we're selling it "as is". Then the bank said.....we decided we don't want you to buy the house, we are doing a cash sale only now. I think the bank is full of sh**. I think the bank took advantage of the kids. I think the bank said "Let's get these kids, who have no idea what's going on...to pay for a home inspection. That way we(the bank) will know what's wrong with this property and we won't have to spend a dime. That's what I think. I'm a yahoo and I don't even pretend to know anything about real estate. I've never bought a home, wouldn't know the first thing about it. I just know I have two very upset kids (one pregnant). And I just want to beat the living crap out of someone. I told Hut, I felt like I wanted to be one of those crazed people on TV who goes into a bank and goes nuts with a gun (but those are just my hormones speaking, I wouldn't really do it). I just feel bad for my kids and wish I had a big band aid to fix it. Any words of advice from you wordly people who have clues about life and real estate? Wade wants to keep looking, Diana wants to give up. I just want to kick someone's a$$. What would you guys do?

It just sucks and it is NOT right that they let the kids go that far without telling them it could not be. I'm with you for kicking some butt.

I don't blame you at all for being upset, that's awful what the bank did to those kids! Leave it to big corporations like a bank to be so selfish and hard hearted. Grrrrr....now I want to go kick some butt! lol The kids will be paranoid now while looking for another house, worried about the same thing happenening again. I do hope they do find something else and that it works out for them. xoxo

Bonnie ... what about Fair Lending Practices? Mmmmm ... that just doesn't sound right at all to me.

I know it's disappointing ... and I'm damn (yes! that's a curse word) disappointed for them. Wow, I wish I knew what they could do.

It just S.U.C.K.S.
