Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to one of the greatest woman on Earth. Unfortunately I never got to meet her. Today my mother in law, Syble, would have been 76 years old. I never had the opportunity to meet her. I wish I had. Never have I heard anyone say an unkind word about her. Everyone loves her. If she were here I'd thank her for the wonderful man I'm married to and the greatest sister in law in the world. I know Syble would be so proud of her family. She is greatly missed by everyone, even those of us who never met her. My wonderful sister in law, Missy, shared this photo with me. She was beautiful woman. Happy Birthday, Syble. You will live on and be loved forever.

I'm Published

I am now a published photographer. Well locally anyways, lol. Our local newspaper, the Winter Haven News Chief, let's people send in their digital photos of nature. I submitted 4 photos about a month ago and had just about given up on seeing any published. Well this morning I heard Hut say, "Bonnie Hutto is in the paper". I'm like, what are you talking about? I couldn't remember any reason I'd be in the paper. It was a picture I had sent in. I was thrilled, lol. It was a picture I had taken of a dove on a nest at State Farm. Here's the photo I submitted. Here it is in the newspaper. If you look really close on the top right you can just make out my name. As you can tell, it really doesn't take much to excite me, lol. This is a picture of Molly and Max at the ballfield. Isn't Molly getting BIG??!!!Another shot of Molly and Max.

Well it's off to Walmart. I have another wedding to go to this evening, actually just the reception. Wade and Scott's cousin Tony is getting married to his high school sweetheart, Tarah, this evening. Two weddings in two weeks, I'm pooped, lol. Hopefully I'll have some photo's to share of it. Have a great weekend.

Women's Study

I got this in an email and thought it was worth sharing with all my female friends out there. They actually did a study on this and here are the results:

Women's Ass Size Study

There is a new study just released by the American Psychiatric Association about women and how they feel about their asses.

The results are pretty shocking:

1. Only 5% of women surveyed feel their ass is too big.

2. 10% of women surveyed feel their ass is too small.

3.. The remaining 85% say they don't care; they love him; he's a good man and they would have married him anyway.

MySpace, FaceBook, Twitter........

So many choices, so little time to keep up with them all. I am signed up for all three of the above mentioned, but I do not keep up with FaceBook or Twitter. I cannot figure those out. I have had MySpace for years and that is where I keep up with friends and family. Plus blogging of course. Lately, though, there hasn't been anything to really blog about. So, where to the rest of you keep up with friends and family?

Under The Empire

I know that I have blogged about this band before. But these guys are awesome. And of course, it doesn't hurt that my son, Wade is in the band, lol. As you can tell by the previous post, I haven't been able to do much, except hobble around on crutches. Well last night, Under The Empire played a show at Doc's Place in Lakeland, not far from here. My poor husband has an ear infection and he was going to take me to see the guys. Well I couldn't do that to him. He was in such pain. So I thought since my left foot was injured, I could drive. I really didn't want to drive myself. Well then I thought I'll just call Wade and see if he'd come get me. And he did. So I got to go support my favorite rock band. Here's some photos of the show. I know they are dark....my camera just doesn't seem to be able to adjust to bar lighting, lol.

It's not all play....these guys have to work before playing. This is Wade getting his drums set up.This is Brett working on his guitars and amps. The other band members hadn't gotten there yet.Jason (aka J-Bones) couldn't be there because he had just had his appendix out. But the guys didn't forget him. They set up his guitar and put his mask on it. So even though J-Bones wasn't there physically, he was there in spirit.Tim, the lead singer.Brett, getting crazy. He is awesome and does some really crazy things with his guitar. You would have to see him. Maybe some day I can get some video of a show and show you what I mean.Tony, jammin'.And the best drummer in the world. My son, the newlywed, Wade. His beautiful bride, Diana had to work so she couldn't be there with us.Brett, Tony, Tim and Wade in the background....rockin' out.

Shot of the whole band.

Just finishing a song. Tim is "hawking" free stickers. They were giving away free Under The Empire stickers to the crowd. Yours truly was supposed to hand them out. I was stuck (no pun intended) at a table with the stickers. Tim actually ended up giving most of them away. I did bring some home so I could share with family and friends. I actually do have a good time at these shows. Wade has been in some other bands that I've absolutely hated, but these kids are really good and I would love to see them get a break.

Foot Injury Update

Well I just got back from the doctor's office. I have a hairline fracture and torn ligaments. They call this a "sprain". Now I'm sporting these cool fashion accessories......
This calf slimming ankle air splint.

To dress up the splint, make sure to add this lovely, black goes with everything post-op shoe.

And to finish off the ensemble, these beautiful, never go out of style crutches.

Now all I have to do is keep my foot propped up, put ice on it, and don't stand for longer than 5 minutes every hour.

This injury is on my left foot. Funny thing is.....February of 1999 I had the same injury on my right foot. Same location.....exactly 10 years ago. How strange is that.

Just another post

I haven't posted in a week....nothing exciting going on since the wedding. Thank you all for your wonderful comments. Today I'm just going to share some more pictures of the wildlife from work. I have been working 6 days a week now for more than a month and I still have a few more weeks of it, but hey, I'll grab any overtime I can. Yesterday while I was at work, I hurt my foot. I am waiting for the boss man to call me to tell me where I need to go to have it looked at. It hurt sooooo bad last night, but I figured if I kept it propped up it would be fine this morning. I can walk on it a little better but if I walk too much or stand too much it really hurts again. Plus being diabetic, you don't want to mess around with any kind of injuries. I'll keep you posted. But anyways, this weekend I didn't see any kind of animals around work. Highly unusual. But last weekend there was more than enough. For starters, though, I'm going to share some plants.

Isn't this Magnolia tree just beautiful? There are probably 12 to 15 of these all over the property and they are just loaded with flowers.

We have always called this a Yucca plant. It is a spiney cactus type plant. I have never seen one with this BIG shoot sprouting out the middle. At the top of the sprout, it looks like there are going to be some flowers blooming. I've been waiting a month for the flowers to bloom, and I'm still waiting, lol.

A blog I did a few weeks ago showed this pond being nothing but a mud puddle. It was actually totally dried up. We have finally gotten some much needed rain and the pond has started filling up again. We still need lots more rain. But the ducks are happy.

The rain has caused all kinds of things to grow with all the dampness. Here are some common mushrooms.

And a toadstool.Mr. Squirrel eating the toadstool. I guess if it wasn't good for him to eat, he would know enough not to eat it.A not so great picture of a turkey running down the fence line. A year ago Easter I had two of them right up to the building looking for grub to eat. This guy was just running up and down the fence line trying to find his way into the orange grove. He finally got to the gate and ducked under the fence.

This cute little guy was inside the fence in the orange grove. Isn't his white tail pretty. Can you figure out what these two pictures are? We have a cement drainage ditch that runs between two parking lots and is adacent to the orange grove and it's all fenced in. Well I thought I saw a small gator in it. So I unlocked the gate to get into the orange grove so I could go check it out. Well I was a little apprehensive but my curiosity got the best of me. See we have a Florida panther and some coyotes (which I didn't even know Florida had coyotes until I started working here) in the groves. Well as I was walking past some trees to get a better look in the canal I saw these tracks. So then I was really kind of nervous. But I kept on going. Well now I was close enough to see that it was indeed a small gator in the canal. He ducked under the water as I got close. I knew if there was a small gator, that there was probably a bigger one close by. So I headed back to the gate and the truck. I decided to take pictures of these tracks I saw leading into the groves so I could verify what I thought they were. And I was right. Those tracks were gator tracks. They were leading into the orange grove. Those little holes are really claw marks. My camera really didn't do these pictures justice. The snake like track is from the tail. When I first saw the tracks I thought it was a snake, allbeit a big one. But when I stopped to take pictures and saw the claw marks, I knew. So I took some pictures really quick and got the heck out of there, locked the gate and stayed in the truck, lol. Needless to say I did not run into the guy that make the tracks. And how was your week???
